Kayenta - Leather Hat Band with Vintage Native American Buttons
Kayenta - Leather Hat Band with Vintage Native American Buttons
Kayenta is a wide, brown leather band and features three beautiful vintage Native American-made coin silver buttons. Other features include the saddle tan leather lace weave throughout the band and riveted leather strips. The buttons were likely made from old silver coins. The buttons were from the estate of a government worker who provided medical care to the Native American reservations in the 1950-1960s. His hobby was collecting buttons from the locals. Buying these buttons helped support the remote silver workers. Each button has a unique hand-stamped design. The two on the outside showcase crossed-arrows.
